Christmas card delivery mornings where the sun is shining and the sky is clear blue yet there's that edge to the wind; cold, crisp. Those are my favourite mornings. There is nothing better than wrapping up in a coat, scarf and hat and enjoying the tranquility that mornings like these have to offer.
Then there are the festivities, traditions and events that roll around every year. For me that is a trip to Winter Wonderland. With its overpriced rides(yet still incredibly fun) and the cones of hot churros; sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon.
Present wrapping; listening to Christmas songs. The ultimate mode of relaxation combined with a niggle of excitement for Christmas day itself.
Then, when the day is at a close, and you're worn out from all the walking and excitement of the short, dark days and festivities, there is nothing better than curling up in cosy pyjamas, a hot chocolate and a sweet treat before sticking on a Christmas film. Surrounded by Christmas decorations and twinkly lights.
That is why Christmas (or basically just December) is my favourite time of year.
